The IPTV (Iowa Public Television) Series, “Iowa Outdoors”, featured the Okoboji Yacht Club’s 80th Anniversary recently on its television station. The IPTV crew filmed club races on a windy day, Sunday, July 22. The coverage continued Sunday evening when the club hosted a picnic for families involved in the No Tears West Regatta. Monday, July 23 the OYC hosted its only regatta, the 2012 No Tears Regatta. 22 Opti sailors participated in the regatta, 16 skippers from Okoboji, and IPTV covered the entire regatta from start to finish. Go-PRO camera were installed on several participant’s masts and many interviews were conducted with sailors, parents and staff.
