An educational meeting will be held on October 27th at 2:00 PM to discuss groundwater loading to West Okoboji. Keith Schilling, a research scientist from the Iowa Geological Survey at the University of Iowa, will present the findings from a recently completed study about groundwater and nutrient loads of nitrogen and phosphorus delivered to West Okoboji. The meeting will be held at the Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, Waiit Lab.
The lab is located at 1838 Highway 86, Milford, IA 51351. Keith will present some interesting findings from the completed study about ground water and how that ground water can affect a lake such as West Okoboji.
