Chuck Gipp discusses new job as DNR director

Gov. Terry Branstad has named former state lawmaker Chuck Gipp of Decorah as director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, replacing Roger Lande, who resigned Friday.

Iowa DNR director resigns; deputy to succeed him

Iowa’s top environmental official has resigned, effective May 25, and apparently will be replaced by his top deputy. Iowa Department of Natural Resources director Roger Lande said he resigned to spend more time at his home in the Lake of the Woods, Ontario, Canada.

Reighard named new conservation officer

Boaters will encounter a new, yet familiar face on the Iowa Great Lakes this summer. Steve Reighard, a longtime park ranger in the Gull Point State Park Complex, has been selected as a new conservation officer for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in Dickinson County.
