It was another busy weekend in the Iowa Great Lakes area with Milford’s Pioneer Days and the annual Wooden Boat Show on tap.

Milford Pioneer Days

This weekend, Milford hosted Pioneer Days and showcased their community for the weekend. On Friday, they celebrated families and children with countless activities for kids: inflatables, kid’s water fights, kiddie parade, tractor pull, etc. On Saturday, the main event was the parade through town, finishing right before the rain. Lots of fun was had by all!’

Wood Boat Show

Despite the rain mid-day, the wooden boat show was still a success as countless visitors enjoyed looking at the wooden boats. There were boats built in the 1940s to one built in 2008. Another wooden boat was steam-powered and considered one of few in the Midwest. A fun piece of history on the Iowa Great Lakes region!
