Meet the artist at the Opening Reception: Thursday, April 27th, 5 – 7 p.m.,

The imagery in Dan’s work is a combination of cultural imagery and ideas constructed in the guise of whimsical architectural and mechanical forms presented in dynamic compositions. His sculptures are composed in ways that imply a narrative to which the viewer becomes a witness. He utilizes color to accentuate forms and complement the site. Shifts in scale and perspective challenge the viewer to question their physical relationship to the world around them and contemplate their surroundings.

Over the past 10 years, Dan Perry has exhibited his artwork across the United States in over 30 juried, solo, and group exhibitions. Venues include the Des Moines Art Center, the Waterloo Center for the Arts, and the Spartanburg Art Museum in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dan is currently the Art Studio Technician and an Instructor at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
